Thanksgiving Wine Pairings

It’s that time of year when we gather ’round the dinner table with our closest family and friends to give thanks. It typically involves some variation of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and of course… wine! We wondered if our guests knew which wines to pair with which Thanksgiving foods, and that’s when our team got to work on creating the perfect pairings. Read below to learn more – Cheers!

Cellars’ Society Chardonnay

Origin: Suisun Valley, California
Tasting Notes: Baked bread dough and graham cracker notes balanced by zesty lemon custard with a clean flinty finish.
Recommended Serving Temperature: 55-60°F
Suggested Pairing: Apple Pie

Cellars’ Society Cabernet, Petite Syrah, Petit Verdot

Origin: Lodi, California
Tasting Notes: Notes of ripe cherry, crushed dried flowers, dried strawberries, plum and blackberries
Recommended Serving Temperature: 60-62°F
Suggested Pairing: Appetizers, like a meat and cheese board!

Pinotage Reserve

Origin: Breedekloof, South Africa
Tasting Notes: Aromatic notes of cherry, tangerine, smoke and coffee rise up from the glass with soft tannins lingering on the palate and balanced out by fruit and fresh acidity
Recommended Serving Temperature: 55-60°F
Suggested Pairing: Everything for your Thanksgiving meal, from turkey to vegetables!

Bordeaux-Style Red Blend

Origin: Lodi, California
Tasting Notes: A seamless blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon 33% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc. Wonderfully fruit forward and smooth!
Recommended Serving Temperature: 60-62°F
Suggested Pairing: Versatile red table wine

Aloha

Origin: California
Tasting Notes: Flavors of delicate sweet pineapple, white grape, fresh green apple, mango and lemon
Recommended Serving Temperature: 45°F
Suggested Pairing: Drier foods like turkey or glazed ham & salads

Sweet P

Origin: Breedekloof, South Africa
Tasting Notes: Warm smokiness balanced by delicate sweetness with notes of dried orange peel, cinnamon, stewed cherry and cranberry along with fresh fig
Recommended Serving Temperature: 55°F
Suggested Pairing: Sweeter desserts
